So, do you have a ritual or certain steps you take every time you leave the house? Maybe you turn off the lights? Grab your phone? Grab your keys? Make sure your pets are secure?
Well, I do all of that. But I have an extra step, I want to share with you today…its about protecting yourself from negativity, be it energy or any other form of negativity.
I also throw on my pink energetic protective bubble before I leave. (And my kiddos join in with me, too!) If you’re new around here, I have two girls. As you can imagine our bubbles are bright pink (sometimes the youngest likes to use purple). Think of it like the old “rose colored glasses” saying.
When we leave or right before we leave, we visualize a pink bubble encompassing us and whatever means of travel we are taking, maybe its us and the vehicle we are in (and all of the occupants) or it is the airplane or a group of us walking or when we are all alone, just encompassing each of us individually. When we started this practice it took a little bit of time, but now we are all set and it’s really an automatic system now.
Occasionally, we will be in a situation that doesn’t feel right. For example, there were torrential rains and flash flooding last week, and we were caught in the car and it was a little frightening. The girls are old enough that one of them said, “Momma, I can’t see anything out of the windshield, how are you driving?” and was becoming worried. She took it upon herself to reinforce the pink bubble of energy around our car with a little extra light to help us get home and to comfort herself.
In certain situations we may add the intention “Thank you for allowing me/us to move/travel in harmony with my true-self, Mother Nature, others and my surroundings.”
This is a variation on a technique I learned from my mom, same principle but shows you that you can adapt it to fit your needs. She does the same visualization but says, “I/We will travel in harmony with Mother Nature, myself/ourselves and those around us.”
Doing this each time we leave assures that we move in harmony and stay safe energetically and physically.
Interested in trying on a bubble of your own?
At first it may feel a little odd and it may even take just a tiny bit of practice. Here’s how to do it your first time, then once you know what your bubble looks like, it will be super easy to pop on.
Sit down in a comfortable position. Feet and arms un-crossed. Allow whatever you are sitting on or in to fully support your body.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a big deep breath, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Repeat this 2 more times.
In your minds eye, visualize a tiny bright light at the tip-top of your head, near your crown. This white light shines down on you like a shower, enveloping you in light.
Take a few deep breaths and each time you breathe, the light expands around you like a bubble expanding. When your bubble has reached the perfect size for you, it will change colors. Whatever color you see is perfect. If you would prefer a certain color, ask the bubble to change to that particular color.
Feel the safeness and security of your bubble. Feel how it wards off negative energy and actions from your being.
When you are finished, take a deep breath and slowly open your eyes returning to the room you were in.
That is your bubble! Now each time you get ready to leave the house, see that bubble drop over you. How does it get better than that?
